Serenity is a riding instructor based in Chelsea Alabama. She has been teaching for over 7 years. She teaches all level of riders basic horsemanship . She also teaches more advanced riders dressage on her well trained lesson horses. Serenity was inspired to start this GMO because of the pressing need to encourage children to be more involved in dressage. She wants to encourage the next generation of riders to be true horseman, always putting the welfare of the horse first and foremost. She is excited to one day host an L program and a certified instructor program with CADCTA.
Emily is an assistant trainer at Pembroke Farms in Tuscaloosa. She has been around horses all her life and studied many different disciplines until she found her passion in dressage. She teaches all her students the importance of dressage and how it can be used with any horse.
Emily is excited to be a board member and to help educate the next generation of equestrians through more clinics and shows in our area.
Mae was born and raised here in central Alabama. Since the age of 12 Mae has been learning the art of horsemanship. She has education in many different riding disciplines.
Her love for showing started with a spotted saddle gelding named Flash in 4-H. She won several state titles and was the President of her counties 4-H club for several years. She also has competed and earned several titles in the rodeo and barrel racing world.
Mae is a riding instructor at Carousel O’ Breed’s Farm in Montevallo. When Mae is not horsing around she is caring for children and adolescents as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
In the past 8 years Mae has studied Western Dressage and has also spread her knowledge of the discipline to children and adults alike. Her goal as a board member of CADCTA is to share her love of horses and dressage to each and every member to her best ability all while having fun!
Karla's love of horses started at an early age. What began as a desire to just be near horses and learn to ride, turned into a love of showing. She got her start in the open horse show circuit, competing in classes such as western pleasure, showmanship, equitation and trail.
Karla was introduced to the world of dressage by Serenity at SJ Equestrian. Dressage has quickly become her new passion. She enjoys learning all she can by taking lessons and attending shows and clinics. She is excited to continue this journey as a board member of CADCTA!
